Oregon Humane Society (we love them) is running a photo contest - for top dog. It costs $5 to vote, but it's a charitable donation. We hope you'll vote for my kids, DogDiary's own surf dogs Elvis 'n Dude, rescue dogs. Of course, I'm the one that got rescued....

The story behind the photo:
Elvis and I drove three hours from a camping trip at the desert to check him out. We had a hard time sleeping, knowing he was waiting for us.
Dude got the whole 2 dogs on a leash thing like he'd done it for years.
Next stop, a Baja surfin' safari. That's Dude 'n Elvis in the tent on Dude's first ever camping trip.
