We lived next to Washington State School for the Blind (WSSB) and hung out with the kids all the time. We moved back to the Gorge, but I still volunteer for blind ski nights on Mt. Hood. Eloise, snow surferOne ear is up, listening for bald eagles... the other ear is down - for the "girl next door" look. Eloise is a country dog, living in Mosier, OR. She has her ear up for a reason - eagles live all around us. Eloise had a terrifying run-in with the bird of prey - but thankfully lived to tell the tale.
